Western Albemarle wrestling picked up a big team victory at the 2014 Albemarle Invitational.
The Warriors put four wrestlers on the All-Tournament team and edged host Albemarle for first place as the Patriots took second place. Gabe Rody-Ramazani at 145 pounds, Nate Riley at 160 pounds, Chris Miller at 182 pounds and Donte Henry at 285 pounds all posted the best record in their respective weight classes and helped spark the Warriors to their victory.
Albemarle had a pair of wrestlers earn All-Tournament honors with Lester Hernandez at 106 pounds and Jordan Grimsley at 126 pounds.
Fluvanna County took third place in the event, with Quincy Martin at 132 pounds and Raejion White at 220 pounds taking best in class honors.
Monticello finished fifth behind fourth-place Petersburg with Sean Means putting together the top performance at 195 pounds and Ryan Brown taking top honors at 138 pounds. Fellow Mustang Logan Zimmerman was the top finisher at 120 pounds.
Charlottesville finished seventh but had a pair of top-flight finishers with Wade Kammauff taking all-tournament at 170 while Jahque Howard was the All-Tournament selection at 152 pounds.
