Western Albemarle’s girls soccer team rolled 12-1 past Louisa County Thursday night, building a 9-1 lead by halftime and cruising from there.
The Warriors got a hat trick from Anna Sumpter and two goals each from Abby Sewell and Sarah Watkins. Alexis Huckek, Sarah Duska, Elsa Strickland and Erin Clark all each had a goal. Christine Domecq, a senior defender, rounded out the scoring with her first goal in her varsity career at Western.
Western is now 11-1 and 7-0 in the Jefferson District. The Warriors clash with Monticello Monday at 7 p.m. on the road. The Mustangs are currently in second place in the Jefferson District.
