Western girls lacrosse one step closer to sweep of JD

Although Rockbridge scored first, the Western Albemarle girls lacrosse team was quick to answer back. Behind an 8-point night from Ellen Shaffrey, the Warriors cruised, particularly in the second half, to earn a 17-5 win in their second to last Jefferson District game of the year.

Teammate Jordan Haws also had a big night as she scored four times and had four take aways on defense as well as four draw controls. Jeanette Fellows and Stewart Summers gave Western four players with two or more goals.
