Western Albemarle’s boys tennis team continued its blitz through the Jefferson District, rolling 9-0 over Monticello Thursday, but not before the top of the Warriors’ ladder had to battle.
Cam Scot and Alex Preve both were taken to the brink in their matches. Scot battled Colin Rowe to a 10-7 win while Preve went toe-to-toe with Bret Diehl before snagging a 10-8 victory. Western (16-0, 12-0 Jefferson) completes its regular season. The Jefferson District semifinals start Monday May 17.
