Western Albemarle’s boys tennis squad made quick work Tuesday of Turner Ashby in the opening round of the Conference 29 tournament.
The Warriors’ Tucker Ottaway rolled at No. 1 6-0, 6-0 to set the tone while Joe Squillace, Scott Grover, Deven Barkley and Ben Masselli also coasted to largely dominant wins.
Western will face the winner of the Monticello/Fort Defiance match tomorrow for the right to advance to the Region 3A West tournament.
