The Western Albemarle boys soccer team put together their sixth shutout in 10 games with its 5-0 win over Goochland on Monday night in Crozet.
Ryan Elliot put the Warriors up 1-0 in the first half. The Western offense got rolling in the second half when Linge Sun, Will Odom and Alex Nolet all scored within five minutes of one another. Lane Gearhart scored the game’s last goal.
The Warriors (8-0-2, 7-0-1 Jefferson) will host Fluvanna County this Thursday at 6:30 p.m.for the rights to first place in the district. The two squads played once previously and settled in for a 1-1 tie.
