Western Albemarle boys tennis faced familiar rival Monticello in the Conference 29 semifinals and walked out with a 6-0 win to move on to the finals.
Five of the six Warriors rolled to straight set victories. In the fifth spot, Western’s Deven Barkley faced the toughest matchup as he edged Andrew Browning 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.
At the top of the ladder, Tucker Ottaway took down Jacob Baber 6-1, 6-1. At the two spot, Joe Squillace defeated Jack Echols, also 6-1, 6-1. Sebastion Glickman beat Andrew Ern 6-3, 6-1 in the three spot. At fourth, Andrew Ern won over Rafa Torres, 6-2, 6-2. Finally, at sixth Ben Masselli defeated Danny Higgenbotham 6-0, 6-1.
