Madison County boys basketball players Logan Terrell and Jerel Carter were named to the Virginia High School Coaches Association all-state basketball team. Terrell was also named the 2010 state player of the year for Group A, Division 1.
Buckingham’s Taylor Boyers also earned an all-state nod at the Group A, Division 2 level.
Madison won the Group A, Division 1 state title last week, capping a 54-1 two-year run during Terrell and Carter’s final two seasons. Terrell and Carter had 10 points each in the championship game win over Altavista.
Buckingham fell in the Division 2 final to James River. Boyers pulled down 11 rebounds and scored 16 points in the championship.
Also, both players were also chosen to participate in the Coaches All-Star game in July in Hampton.
