A balanced scoring effort bolstered St. Anne’s-Belfield’s girls basketball team Friday night in a 67-21 blowout win over St. Gertrude’s.
Haley Kent led the way with 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists on the night. She also swiped seven steals, nearly a third of STAB’s 23-steal effort as a team. Lexi Mallory and Sarah Toliver each had five steals while Julia Haney had four steals.
Lexi Peck and Nkechi Ilang also got into double figures in scoring. Peck scored 11 points, as did Ilang. Ilang also hauled in 15 rebounds, seven of them offensive.
Margaret Giles had three blocks for the Saints.
STAB moves to 5-3 on the year.
