Western’s girls soccer team took on traditional private school state power Collegiate Friday night and the Warriors were clearly up for the challenge.
Western beat the Cougars 4-0, with freshman Elizabeth Fabiano notching a pair of goals. Fabiano scored the Warriors’ opening goal and classmate Shannon Moore scored again with just seconds left in the first half to put Western up 2-0 at halftime. Fabiano scored again in the second half, with a flick between the legs of her defender in route to the goal. Then Carolina Riordan added another goal to push Western to a 4-0 lead and the win.
Western will host Louisa County Monday night.
