Western Albemarle’s boys tennis team snagged a 6-3 victory over Charlottesville Tuesday night, leaning on a 4-2 advantage in singles to secure the victory.
The win pushes Western to 9-0 on the year.

Albemarle boys tennis sweeps Powhatan
Albemarle’s boys tennis team made short work of Powhatan Tuesday, rolling to a 9-0 win over the Indians.
The Patriots are now 6-1 and will take on Louisa Thursday at 5 p.m.

Albemarle boys lacrosse falls to St. Christopher’s
Albemarle’s boys lacrosse team fell to St. Christopher’s Tuesday night as the Patriots fell 12-3.
Ian Davis led the Albemarle offense with two goals and an assist. Quinn Garland scored one goal as well for the Patriots.

Jacob Hale led St. Chris with three goals while

 

 

 

Teddy Gray had two goals and two assists.

Western Albemarle’s baseball team got a monster home run from Stevie Mangrum and a solid night at the plate from Chris Hughes to roll 14-3 past Charlottesville Tuesday night.

Hughes went 3-for-3 including a double and had three RBI in the win, while Mangrum’s shot to left centerfield was a three-run homer.

Josh Casteen, Derek Domecq and Henry Kreienbaum all had an RBI each. Kreienbaum had two hits including a triple and Dylan Weiss also had a pair of hits.

Sam Hearn picked up the win on the mound with four strikeouts while just surrendering three hits. Hearn is now 3-0 on the year.

Albemarle baseball falls to Powhatan

Albemarle’s baseball team couldn’t pull one out Tuesday night against Powhatan, falling 9-8 to the Indians.

Cole Barringer had three hits for Powhatan while DG Archer checked in with three hits for the Patriots.
