Apparently the Jefferson District race is just getting warmed up.
Orange County took down Charlottesville, who knocked off first place Fluvanna County just a week ago, 5-1 Saturday.
Joshua Pugh got the scoring going off an assist from Austin Horner, Danny Goodsell followed with an assist from Ryan Jenkins then Jenkins set the table for Joshua Pugh for Pugh’s second score and the Hornets’ third goal.
Campbell Hancock and Logan Bartholomew also tallied unassisted goals for Orange county.
Orange also took care of business Monday against Goochland, rolling 6-0 over the Bulldogs.
Pugh, Troy Johnson, Bartholomew, Goodsell, Chico Perez and Jenkins all scored in the win, with Jenkins, Brennen Richardson and Justin Fowler all tallying assists.
The Hornets now sit at 8-2-1, clocking in at 6-2-1 in the Jefferson District. They take on Louisa Thursday.
