Orange boys soccer holds on for win

Orange County boys soccer knocked off Brooke Point Tuesday night, winning 4-3.

The Hornets led 1-0 at the break on a goal by Danny Goodsell off a Logan Bartholomew assist.

Two minutes into the second half there was a game delay for lightening that lasted about 40 minutes. Shortly after the restart, Orange scored three times in rapid succession. The first was a penalty kick by Jacob Sanner while the next two scores were again by Danny Goodsell on assists from David Alverez and Chris Johns, completing Goodsell’s hat trick.

During the last 15 minutes, Brooke Point answered back with three goals of their own but Orange withstood and held on for the win. Orange’s record is now 1-2 and the Hornets’ next game is on the road Friday against Riverbend.
