Madison County’s girls hoops teams came close to pulling off a big-time upset Wednesday night. The Mountaineers were tied with Altavista with less than two minutes to play, but a six-point run to close out the gameby Colonels gave them a 31-25 victory.
Madison (7-15) was the seventh seed in the Region B, Division 1 tournament.
