Madison’s girls soccer team lost in the Bull Run District championship game at defending state champion and No. 1 seed George Mason Thursday night 1-0 on penalty kicks.
After battling through regulation, two overtime periods and sudden death, George Mason won the game 3-0 on PKs.
Madison still advances to next weeks Region B Tournament. They will host Appomattox on Monday May 31 at 5:00. Appomattox is the Dogwood District runner-up.
