Fluvanna boys and girls sweep Chancellor

Last week, Fluvanna County’s boys and girls split with Chancellor with the girls falling on the road.

This the girls made sure to flip the script and beat the Chargers 57-47 while the Flucos’ boys completed a season sweep on the road with a 61-47 win.

The Flucos’ boys got the job done with three players reaching double figures led by Kobe Edmonds’ 20 points with Lance Bruce notching 17 and Bobby Gardner scoring 13.  The Flucos trailed 32-27 at the break but exploded in the second half with Bruce and Gardner doing some of the heavy lifting after Edmonds scored 12 of his 20 in the first half.

The Fluvanna girls bounced back from last week’s loss to the Chargers with a better offensive effort led by Tatyana Turner’s 22 points and Aniah Webb’s 13 points. The game was tight throughout but the Flucos slowly managed to pull away down the stretch.

The boys and girls will next take the floor Tuesday after a few days off with the boys hosting Charlottesville that night while the girls travel to take on the Black Knights.
