Charlottesville girls soccer rolls past Orange

Charlottesville’s girls soccer team made short work of Orange County Wednesday night, rolling 7-1 over the Hornets. The Black Knights face another important Jefferson District challenge Thursday night when they battle Western Albemarle on the road.

Charlottesville built a 4-0 halftime lead en route to the victory. Ellie Von Storch led the way with a hat trick, followed closely by Olivia Levine’s two goals. Althea Pickering and Kellie Havens rounded out the scoring for the Black Knights with a goal each. Havens also had a pair of assists as did Abigail Intolubee-Chmill. Levine and Grace Paine each had an assist.

Emily Thomas finished with three saves on the night for the Black Knights (9-1-0, 8-0-0).
