Charlottesville girls soccer falls to Brentsville

Charlottesville’s girls soccer team had to wait a day to play its Region II quarterfinal game against Brentsville and in a high-scoring clash, the Black Knights fell just a couple of goals short of extending their season Wednesday night.

The Black Knights fell 5-3 to Brentsville, surrendering a trio of second half goals after playing Brentsville even at the half. Abigial Intolubbe-Chmil, Mary Hemenway and Althea Pickering scored the three Charlottesville goals.

For Brentsville, captain Bridget Bergquist scored two goals while Skylar Dowell, Lindsey Woods and Shannon Jewell each had goals.
