Western Albemarle’s girls basketball team picked up the Warriors’ first Jefferson District win Wednesday night with a 44-37 victory over Louisa County
Sophomore Natalie Marbury paced the Warriors with 10 points on the night while Erin Clark and Deja Newton-Grant finished with nine points each.
Bre’shae Bell led Louisa County with 18 points and Breon Washington chipped in eight for the Lions.
Warriors move to 2-4 on the year and 1-2 in the JD. They’ll try and keep things going Friday on the road against Charlottesville. Louisa (4-3, 1-2) travels to take on Orange County Friday.
