Buckingham’s boys basketball team shot 50 percent from the field and made short work of Prince Edward Tuesday night on the road, winning 72-58.
The Knights’ Leon Ragland finished with 24 points, leaving the senior seven points away from his 1,000th career points. Ragland went 12-for-18 at the free throw line and was 6-for-10 from the field on the night. He also pulled down eight rebounds and made two blocks.
Tariq Gough finished with 17 points and six boards. B.J. Gough had 10 points. Brycen Newby had eight rebounds on the night. Terrence Tyree had three steals and three assists.
Albemarle boys beat Orange
Albemarle’s boys basketball team made short work of Orange County Tuesday night, rolling 74-33, with Jake Hahn’s 14 points leading the way. Grant Kersey finished with 13 points while Myles Adams-Yates and Justice Taylor notched 10 points a piece.
