Baseball roundup 3.30.16: Woodberry, Covenant snag victories

Woodberry Forest and Fork Union’s baseball teams matched up in a pitcher’s duel Tuesday with the Tigers eeking out a 1-0 victory over the Blue Devils.

He also managed to survive five Woodberry errors unscathed.

The late run marred an otherwise stellar outing by Jacob Grabeel who went the distance and struck out six. Zach Pace had a double for the Blue Devils.

The two squads will face off again Friday at Woodberry at 4 p.m., though the Blue Devils take on Covenant Thursday at Covenant at 4 p.m.
