Albemarle girls tennis beats up on Stafford

For the third time in four matches, the Albemarle girls tennis team completed a clean sweap of the their opponent, this time taking down Stafford, 9-0.

It was the first time so far this year that the Patriots took the court with a full ladder, and it showed as they won eight of their total nine matches by six points or more.

Top seeded Megan Napolitano received the toughest compeition in her bout against the Indians’ Annie Moncure. After struggling with her serve early on, Napolitano pushed through to pick up a 10-6 win.

Albemarle (4-0, 3-0 Commonwealth) travels to Colonial Forge on Thursday at 5 p.m.
