Albemarle’s girls tennis team faced a little more of a challenge than they got during a sweep of Louisa County last week but the Patriots still managed to take care of business against Orange Monday night, beating the Hornets 7-2.
Orange’s Molly Gudka knocked off Albemarle No. 1 Kaitlyn Grossman 10-2 but the Hornets trailed 5-1 after singles when the Patriots got into a groove in the two through six spots.
The Patriots were slated to play Monticello Tuesday, but that game was postponed due to weather. They’re slated to host Handley at 5 p.m. Thursday.
