That’s exactly the kind of result you want on the road right after spring break.
Albemarle’s girls soccer team powered past Brooke Point 7-1 Tuesday night, shaking off any potential rust from the break with an dominant performance.
Maggie Tubridy exploded for a hat trick and Ali Starr finished with a pair of goals too. McKenna Rohm and Megan Schnell rounded out the scoring with a goal each.
Albemarle’s defense stood tall and also got a pair of assists out of Anne Brady and Katherine Waldron. Jazzy Laredo and Amanda Udstren also had assists.
Brooke Point’s lone goal came on a long-range blast on a set piece. Grace Leytham needed just a single save in goal to preserve the 7-1 blowout.
The Patriots are now 7-1 on the year.
