Lightening cut the game short, but by the time it did, Albemarle girls lacrosse had wrapped up a 15-4 victory over Rockbridge Monday night.
Connor Carson poured in seven goals to lead the Albemarle attack and Candace Carey finished with a hat trick for the Patriots. Charlotte Pitt and Mai Toms had two goals each.
Albemarle led 11-4 at the break and started a 4-0 run in the second half before the weather delay.
Albemarle’s Marie Schneider had four stops on the night for the Patriots.
