Albemarle girls lacrosse beats Charlottesville

Albemarle’s girls lacrosse squad picked up its second win in a row Friday night, beating Charlottesville handily 21-11.

 

Carolyn Chapman and Heidi Karweik each got into a groove on offense with five goals a piece. Karweik also dished out a pair of assists. Lindsey Earles put together four goals and two assists for a huge night.

 

Lacey Gagg and Ryann Murray each had two goals for Patriots.

 

Jayme Kusyk and Kendall Ballard each scored four goals for Charlottesville.

 

Haley Williamson stood tall in the cage for the Patriots with 13 saves. Emily Banbury finished with four saves for the Black Knights.

Albemarle is now 5-7 (4-3 in Group) and plays next against Fluvanna on the road Tuesday.
