Albemarle boys cruise past Goochland in JD opener

There’s no question after Tuesday night — Albemarle’s boys basketball team has the ability to pour it in.

The Patriots got the Jefferson District slate going Monday night with a 93-44 victory over Goochland with an electric, balanced offense leading the way. Albemarle started quick, jumping out to a 13-2 lead in the first minute and a half of the contest and led 28-8 at the end of the first quarter.

Four different Albemarle players reached double figures. Carter Wesson led the Patriots with 19 points while La’mari Parler had 15, Dante Curry El had 13 and Christian Humes scored 10. Humes also came up with six assists and six steals to fill up the stat sheet.

Noah Grevious had seven points while TaeVeon Wilson had six points and seven boards.

The Patriots will host William Fleming Friday night
