Albemarle boys lacrosse’s season came to an end in the Region 5A South quarterfinals as the Patriots fell 14-7 to Atlee.
Albemarle fell into a 5-1 hole in the first quarter and couldn’t fight out of it, trailing 8-3 at halftime.
Ian Davis, Silas Beers and David Calhoun scored two goals each for the Patriots while Justin Peck notched a pair of assists. Davis also had an assist. Samuel Mallow finished with a goal and Lorenz Brown and Bobby Salazar each had an assist.
Nemo Lesesane made 11 saves for the Patriots in the cage.
Atlee’s Connor Saul poured in five goals while Dylan Rice had a monster night with four goals and three assists. Eric Peck had a goal and three assists for the Raiders.
