The Albemarle Post 74 senior legion squad put up a 15-0 beating of previoulsy unbeaten King George Post 89 on Thursday night.
Jason White of Albemarle High threw five shutout innings surrendering just three hits while striking out seven. White was also aided by a pair of back-handed plays from shortstop and former Western Albemarle standout Ryan Hughes.
Charlottesville’s Eli Haden put the game away in the fourth inning when he cranked a grandslam with his squad already up 7-0. Vince Coles was 1-1 while stealing five bases giving him nine in three games. Thomas Stallings of Miller went 2 for 4 with three runs scored.
Albemarle (3-0) plays Spottsylvania tonight at home at 7 p.m.
