The first girls soccer poll for the Virginia Independent School Athletic Association was released Tuesday and a pair of Central Virginia schools sit atop the Division 1 and Division 2 rankings.
St. Anne’s-Belfield is ranked No. 1 in Division 1 as the young but talented Saints have impressed early in the year. Then, over in Division 2, Tandem Friends school, the two-time defending VISAA Division 2 champions, sit atop the Division 2 poll.
That means that next Tuesday when STAB and Tandem lock up at Tandem at 4:30 it will be a clash between the Division 1 and Division 2 number ones.
