Trailing Western Albemarle by eight in the third quarter, Covenant needed offense fast, and this quick spurt including an Isaac Stewart-Silver 3-pointer, a Maleek Frazier steal and a Sam Dale bucket pulled Covenant within a bucket. Unfortunately for the Eagles, they couldn’t sustain the run, turned the ball over and Western took control with a 7-0 run of their own.
