St. Anne’s-Belfield boys lacrosse plays a challenging schedule, so occasional losses like Saturday’s loss to St. Mary’s out of Annapolis are bound to happen. But it requires that the Saints bounce back quickly.

Tuesday proved that, at least in the first opportunity, bouncing back wasn’t a problem.

STAB rebounded from the loss with a 15-5 win over Trinity Episcopal at home, with a huge game from Emmett Barger leading the way.

Barger poured in four goals and dished out three assists to spark the win. Michael McGraw and Pierre Reeves each finished with a hat trick with Reeves also snagging an assist. Trent Moran scored twice and dished out one assist.

Defensively, Doug Brooks picked up four ground balls, Taylor Miller picked up two and midfielder Vito Perriello picked up three. Reeves picked up four ground balls of his own.

Noah Kurtz with 13 saves in the cage and snagged five ground balls.

The Saints will face Christ School Saturday on the road in their next matchup.
