Orange County’s girls basketball team wrapped up a big-time regular season Friday night with a 59-35 win over Powhatan.

On a senior night that honored Kiani Hudgens and Deja Wilson, it was junior Laine Harrington that carried the offensive load as she poured in 19 points including four 3-pointers. Hudgens also had a strong night with 14 points while Wilson and Lindsey Slaughter notched five points each.

Sincere Cooke finished with six points, with four of them coming in the final frame as Orange snuffed out any chance of a Powhatan rally with a strong closing quarter.

The Hornets (19-3, 11-3 Jefferson District) move on to the Jefferson District tournament Monday where they’ll face Fluvanna County in the semifinals.
