Monticello’s Keith signs with William and Mary

There is absolutely no lack of respect for Monticello defender Hannah Keith in the local soccer community.

When most any area coach talks about the area’s best defenders, Keith is always in the discussion, which is why she’s joining a recent parade of William and Mary-bound local girls soccer players. Keith signed her letter of intent to suit up for the Tribe Monday, making her the fourth player in the last five years from Central Virginia, joining Tandem product Leci Irvin who is in her final year at William and Mary now, STAB’s Haley Kent who is a sophomore now, and recent signee Rachel DeMasters from William Monroe.

Keith, the Conference 29 player of the year last season, an All-Group 3A selection and a first team All-Scrimmage Play pick, captained a Monticello defense that surrendered just 1.3 goals per game. Keith was also a first team All-Jefferson District selection for the third straight year.
