Monticello girls lacrosse’s Paige McGlothlin named All-American

Monticello High’s Paige McGlothlin was so good this year for the Mustangs that she’s earned a national honor for her handiwork.

After helping vault the Mustangs to the program’s first-ever final four, McGlothlin was named a U.S. Lacrosse All-American pick. Last year, STAB’s Annie Cory picked up the nod and in 2015, STAB’s Julia Haney and Audrey Schreck were named All-American.

McGlothlin was a tremendous, multi-faceted threat for the Mustangs this year, pouring in 82 goals while dishing out 42 assists and snagging 106 draw controls. Just a junior, she’s an Arizona State commitment.

Western Albemarle’s Tara Hohenshelt, who recently announced her departure from the Warriors’ program following a family move, won coach of the year for the region.
