Fork Union track takes home Prep League title

Fork Union’s track and field team needed every point it could get Saturday in the Prep League championships, edging runner-up St. Christopher’s 132 to 128.

 

Fork Union’s Ebruba Etta had a big day with wins in the 100 and 200 and Reynold Walbrook also took home a pair of championships with wins in the 110 and 300 hurdles.

 

The Blue Devils’ 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams each posted runner-up finishes.

 

Logan Justice won the 400 and took third in the 200 while Julian Yescas was third in the 800 and second in the 1600. Blaine Marrs took second in the 3200.

 

Will Stupalsky scored points a variety of ways. He took second in the 110 hurdles, third in the 300 hurdles and third in the long and triple jumps.

 

Woodberry Forest finished third as a team led by three runner-up finishes by Terrell Jana, who placed second in the 100, 200 and long jump. Jana also ran a leg of the squad’s champion 4×100 team along with Bebe Olaniyan, Jameel Wilson and Khalid Thomas. James Carrington was second in the 800 and Dequece Carter was the triple jump runner-up.

 

STAB’s Jayden Nixon finished third in the 100.
