Another Central Virginia player and the first locally tied quarterback in recent memory is headed to the NFL. Christian Hackenberg was selected in the second round of the NFL Draft by the New York Jets with the 51st pick.
Hackenberg was a first team All-Scrimmage Play quarterback back in 2012 for Fork Union Military Academy before he headed to Penn State where he started for three years and put together a record setting career for the Nittany Lions.
Hackenberg declared for the draft after his junior season.
