Louisa County’s Taylor Robinson wasn’t even frustrated about missing out on a Group 4A state title in Harrisonburg by just three hundreths of a second.

“I knew our times were pretty much the same so I knew I had good competition and it was a good time to just run my race,” Robinson said. “I’m not even mad that I got second because it was such a good race, she’s really good.”

Sherando’s Davina Lane, who is headed to George Mason, edged out Robinson with a 14.45 to Robinson’s 14.48 to take the state title.

Robinson’s runner-up in the hurdles and her seventh place in the long jump and her leg on the fourth place 4×100 squad for the Lions led the way to a ninth place finish as a team for the Lions.

Kiana Richardson took fifth in the 100 meters and ran a leg on the fourth place relay team. Celia Agee took third in the pole vault for the Lions.

On the boys side, Justice Anderson took fifth for the Lions in the 800 and the Lions also took eighth in the 4×400. Louisa’s Kobie Washington scored in two events, taking sixth in the pole vault and eighth in the high jump. Louisa’s Jacob Woodson took third in the pole vault.
