Western has looked tough to beat all season. Nothing changed Thursday night.
Western clinched its eighth consecutive Jefferson District title last night with a 25-11, 25-18, 25-18 win over Orange County.
Western’s Katie Rossberg and Ali Miles led the team with 11 and six kills respectively. Setter Megan Adams dished out 18 assists, while Riley Martin tallied 16. Sophomore Marin Crowder had five digs.
Several Warrior starters, despite playing just one game in the match, put together impressive numbers. Harper posted five kills, Chastity Lacy knocked down four of her own, and Elizabeth Via rattled off 3 aces with her jump serve. Western travels to Roanoke on Saturday to take on Cave Spring in a postseason tuneup scrimmage.
Western (18-1, 13-0) wraps up its regular season on Tuesday at home against Goochland.
