Miller boys lacrosse beats Massanutten

MIller’s boys lacrosse team won at home against Massanutten Military 20-13.

The Mavericks had three players pour in six goals each with Kyle Hintz, Temisan Odumu and Jack Woodworth all putting up huge offensive nights.

Trevor Scarboro and Lucas Eberly each scored a goal to round out the Mavericks’ offensive explosion.

 

Western girls tennis shuts out Albemarle

Western Albemarle’s girls tennis team swept Albemarle Tuesday 9-0 with Molly Servine toughing out a 10-6 win at No. 6 singles to preserve the sweep. All three doubles matches were also neck and neck as Western pulled out 10-5, 10-5 and 10-6 victories to complete the victory.

The Warriors are now 5-0 on the year and face Fluvanna County on the road tomorrow at 5 p.m.

Western boys tennis knocks off Albemarle

The Western Albemarle boys tennis team picked up a key early season victory with a 7-2 win over Albemarle Tuesday night. Albemarle had to fight for both its wins with Jack Stalfort and Sam Conner eeking out wins at their singles spots while the Warriors won a close one in the No. 3 doubles spot with Nicholas Hagsiel and William Marshall rising up for an 11-10 (10-8) win.

Covenant tennis beats Trinity Episcopal 7-2

Covenant’s boys tennis team picked up a rare win against tennis power Trinity Episcopal Tuesday, beating the Titans 7-2 highlighted by a come-from-behind 11-9 victory by Jacob Hollis at the No. 6 slot on the singles ladder.
