And down goes the Jefferson District’s regular season in both boys and girls basketball. After spending a week on the ropes, a decision has finally been made. The District announced today that all remaining games — all of which were originally scheduled to be completed this past Saturday — have been axed and that the postseason tournament will start on Saturday based on current standings.
The boys brakcet shapes up as follows for Saturday.
#5 Orange at #4 Goochland at 7:00
#6 William Monroe at #3 Fluvanna at 7:30
#7 Louisa at #2 Western at 7:00
#8 Monticello at #1 Charlottesville at 7:00
The girls will also play on Saturday accordingly.

#7 Monticello at #2 Western at 5:00

The semifinal and championship games will take place at Monticello. The girls semifinals start at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. The boys semifinal take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Both championship games are slated to tipoff on Friday starting at 6 p.m.
