FUMA falls to Collegiate in VISAA semifinals

Coming into the game, there was little doubt that Fork Union need to put pressure on Collegiate quarterback Jake McGee. On Saturday they did that, forcing the future Unversity of Richmond quarterback to throw four interceptions and take six sacks. However, the Blue Devils had turnover issues of their own, and behind 406 yards passing from McGee, the Cougars were able to advance to the state championship game, 35-13.

FUMA had six turnovers. It was a close game in the first half, but after the Blue Devils gave Collegiate the ball five times in the second half, the Cougars were able to cruise to victory. Four of those turnovers came on the ground in the form of fumbles.
