Field Hockey Roundup 10.25.17: AHS, Orange get wins

Albemarle’s field hockey team wrapped up its regular season with a 5-0 win over Charlottesville Tuesday night, capping an 11-1 run through the Jefferson District.

The Patriots will now face Orange County in the Region 5D tournament quarterfinals Thursday at 6 p.m.

Albemarle appears to be getting back to full strength after a run of injuries left the Patriots short-handed for a stretch a couple of weeks ago, with Anna Murray scoring twice, Morgan Rose adding two more goals and Nyla Lewis rounding out the scoring with a single goal. Rose and Julia Douvas each had assists.

Casey Casarex registered 10 saves for the Black Knights.
