Orange County field hockey shutout Louisa County Monday night, rolling 3-0 over the Lions.
Junior Mariely Aquin scored twice for the Hornets while Brooke Figgins chipped in a goal of her own.
The Hornets take on Monticello at home Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Western volleyball sweeps Eastern View
Western Albemarle’s volleyball team made short work of Eastern View Monday night, rolling 3-0 (25-13, 25-14 and 25-17) over the Cyclones.
Sierra McCance ignited the Western offense at setter with 19 assists and three aces while Caity Driver had seven kills, a block and three aces. McCance also chipped in three digs on the night. Sarah Rhea finished with five kills while Abby Johnson rounded out the bulk of the attack at the net with four kills. Amelia Nichols notched a team-high four digs.
Western travels to take on Fluvanna County Tuesday night.
