Charlottesville boys snag win over Bassett on the road to advance to region semis

 

Charlottesville’s boys basketball team started out on fire Friday night after a long road trip to Bassett High and after a midgame lull the Black Knights closed the door with a 26-point fourth quarter in a 67-53 victory in the first round of the Class 4, Region D tournament.

 

Sam Neale and Immanuel Wells powered the Black Knights, with Neale scoring 15 points while dishing out four assists while Wells scored 15 points and pulled down five rebounds. Isaiah Washington scored 11 points and had three boards.

 

The Black Knights will take on E.C. Glass Tuesday night in the region semifinals for a shot at the Class 4 state tournament.
