Goochland jumped out to a slim lead in the first quarter Thursday night, but Buckingham bounced back quickly, erasing that deficit before halftime en route to a 56-34 James River District victory.
The Knights got big offensive outings from B.J. Gough and Tariq Gough, with Tariq Gough leading the scoring with 19 points on an efficient 8-for-14 night from the field.
B.J. Gough finished with 16 points and three assists, shooting 6-for-11 on the evening including 3-for-6 from beyond the arc.
Brycen Newby cleaned up on the boards with 10 rebounds while Michael Allen pulled down eight boards and blocked four shots.
Tariq Gough also had a trio of steals to lead in that category for the Knights as well.
Leon Ragland finished with eight points for Buckingham.
B.J. Snead led Goochland with 16 points on the night.
The Knights (3-3) will take a break before heading to Rustburg for a holiday tournament December 29. Goochland will host a holiday tournament starting Monday.
