Buckingham boys basketball wins two in a row

Buckingham boys basketball got back on the floor this week and picked up two wins Tuesday and Wednesday night, beating Randolph Henry 60-21 on the road and Bluestone 69-42 at home Wednesday. The Knights are building steam heading down the stretch as they’ve now won seven games in a row.

The Knights’ win over Randolph Henry got a big boost from a balanced offensive effort as Damorrious Holman scored 15, K.J. Williams added 12 and Justin Gunter chipped in 10.

Against Bluestone, Gunter exploded for a career-high 26 points and added 10 rebounds for a double double. Holman dished out five assists to go with his 16 points.

Buckingham is 8-3 overall and 5-1 in the James River District now. They’ll host Nottoway Friday night in a critical James River game.
