Blue Ridge blows past Virginia Episcopal

Blue Ridge rolled past Virginia Episcopal Saturday, picking up a 41-0 victory on the arm and, a little more surprisingly, the legs of Speedy McCauley.

McCauley went just 5-for-8, but three of those completions went for touchdowns, including two scoring tosses to AJ Williams. Williams hauled in 145 receiving yards. Roderick Holloway had the other touchdown catch. He also had a team-high 14 tackles on the day including two for a loss.

McCauley, known more as a pocket passer that can get a few yards on the ground if needed here or there, sprinted 38 yards for a rushing touchdown.

Andre Roberts and Mike Casey rounded out the scoring with rushing touchdowns. Roberts’ sprint came from 80 yards out.

Isaiah Battle had two sacks to lead the Barons.
