Albemarle High and Covenant have both also significantly shifted their schedules around.
The Patriots’ Commonwealth District is pushing ahead with regular season basketball, with the district tournament in flux right now. The Patriots will re-start that regular season process Monday with the girls hosting Colonial Forge and the boys hitting the road to take on the Eagles. Tuesday, the boys play Riverbend on the road while the girls host.
The Commonwealth wrestling meet has been scuttled, but the Northwest Region meet will start this Saturday. The district track and field meet is scheduled for Monday. Swimming is pointed at the Northwest Region meet, also on Monday.
Covenant’s varsity girls basketball team hosts Fredericksburg Academy at 5:30 p.m. in the LIS semifinals, while the Covenant boys swim team heads to Roanoke for the VIC championship at 5 p.m.
Saturday, Covenant’s wrestling squad travels to the VIC championships at Liberty Christian in Lynchburg, the girls swim team heads to St. Catherine’s in Richmond for the LIS meet and the Covenant girls basketball team also goes to St. Margaret’s for the LIS finals with a win over Fredericksburg Academy Friday.
