Albemarle is a step closer to evening its Commonwealth District record after grabbing an 8-3 victory at home Tuesday night over Brooke Point.
Austin Turner pitched 6.2 solid innings and struck out seven for the victory. Timmy Aker went 3 for 4 with a homerun while Scott Hoerman was 2 for 4 with a homerun of his own. Joey Varaksa and Jake Hendrix also had two hits a piece.
The Patriots are now 6-4 overall and 3-4 in the CD.
